We look back at governance in the banking sector following CRD IV and the various EBA/ABE guidelines.
In this publication, we focus on the main obligations and applications that arise from this regulatory arsenal for the purpose of a solid governance. We will see that the expectations concern both the management bodies, their organization and their detailed functioning (separation of powers, remuneration, training and composition) and the reinforcement of the internal control functions through human and material resources.
Finally, we will see that governance must also deal with the evolution of business models and the emergence of new risks.
